Nigerian lawyer identifed as Stella Justice has sparked widespread conversation online after issuing a stern warning to couples about the possible legal consequences of being too loud during intimate moments.
According to the legal practitioner, couples who make excessive noise in their bedrooms to the point of disturbing neighbors could actually face legal action under public nuisance laws.
The lawyer, via a Facebook post, explained that noise from the bedroom can be classified as a form of public nuisance if it interferes with the peace and comfort of others within a residential area.
“Let’s stop pretending, some couples are too loud during bedroom fellowship. Even your neighbour knows when love starts and when it finishes. Listen, if your neighbour can prove that your noise is disturbing her peace, she can sue you for nuisance and cash out legally,” she said
“Your normal “bedroom fellowship” can turn to “Exhibit A” in court. What you call “private enjoyment” can become “public disturbance” in the eyes of the law. So, my people, love is sweet, but abeg, enjoy your husband quietly,” Lawyer Stella warned.
