Famous Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has recalled how she survived the trauma of her leaked sex tape, that went viral about four years ago.
DAILY GIST recalls that Tiwa Savage’s sextape was released online in October 2021 after raising an alarm that she was being blackmailed over a sex tape of herself and her partner.
In an interview with British media personality, Zeze Mills, which was posted on YouTube, the singer described the loss of her father and leaked sextape as the darkest moment in her career.
The ‘Ma Lo’ crooner stated that the only way she could have survived the leaked tape controversy was not to think or talk about it.
She said, “My dad died and my sex tape was released. The only way I could have survived was not to think about it.”
Speaking further, Tiwa Savage said that featuring in the interview session meant a great deal to her, especially after dealing with various personal issues over the years.
She added, “Being here on the couch with you is such a blessing. Just the fact that you even want to talk to me, people want to hear what I want to say after how many years. It feels good. I’ve gone through so much, but have I really enjoyed the moment?”
