Times Higher Education (THE), a renowned British magazine, released best universities in Nigeria for 2024 edition.
This year’s edition features a comprehensive assessment of over 35 Nigerian universities, providing a holistic view of their performance in key areas such as teaching, research, and societal impact.
Covenant University (CU) in Ota, Ogun state was named Nigeria’s best university in the rankings.
According THE, the rankings, released on Wednesday, are a valuable resource for students, educators, policymakers, and anyone interested in the state of higher education in Nigeria.
THE claims it employed a rigorous methodology, incorporating carefully calibrated indicators to ensure a fair and balanced evaluation.
Overall, THE collected 411,789 data points from more than 2,673 institutions. A total of 39 Nigerian tertiary institutions were listed in this year’s THE world universities rankings.
Covenant University took the lead as Nigeria’s overall best university, ranking in the 800 to 1000 global bracket.
University Of Ibadan, UI came second followed by Federal University Of Technology, Akure(FUTA)
