Three Nigerians have been included in Forbes magazine list of 2023 billionaires.ll
Forbes released the list which had 2,460 individual billionaires globally. Here are the three Nigerians on the list
1. Aliko Dangote
Aliko Dangote is the founder and president/chief executive of the Dangote Group, the largest conglomerate in West Africa. He is the richest person in Africa. One of the Group’s subsidiaries, Dangote Cement Plc, is the largest listed company in West Africa and the first Nigerian company to join the Forbes Global 2000 Companies list.
2. Abdul Samad Rabiu
Abdulsamad Rabiu is the founder of BUA Group, a Nigerian conglomerate active in cement production, sugar refining, and real estate. The combined firm, called BUA Cement Plc, trades on the Nigerian stock exchange; Rabiu owns 98.2% of it. He set up his own business in 1988 importing iron, steel, and chemicals. He is No. 4 on the Africa’s billionaires list
3. Mike Adenuga
Chief Michael Adeniyi Agbolade Ishola Adenuga Jr is a Nigerian billionaire businessman and the third richest person in Africa. His company Globacom is Nigeria’s second-largest telecom operator and also has a presence in Ghana and Benin. He owns stakes in the Equitorial Trust Bank and the oil exploration firm Conoil (formerly Consolidated Oil Company). Forbes estimated his net worth at $6.2 billion as of May 2021 He is the sixth on Africa’s billionaires list.
