Famous Nigerian singer, Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has won the Best African Artist of the Year at the 2024 MOBO Awards held in Sheffield, United Kingdom, on Wednesday night.
The ‘Mr Money’ crooner defeated his compatriots Davido, Ayra Starr, Rema, Grammy-winning South African singer, Tyla and others to clinch the award.
Asake now joins 2Baba, D’Banj, Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy on the list of Nigerians who have won Best African Act at the MOBO Awards.
Meanwhile, another Nigerian singer, Limoblaze won the Best Gospel Act at the award ceremony.
Similarly, British-Nigerian rapper, Tunde won the Best New Artist award.
