A frustrated Nigerian man has caused stirr online after publicly tearing his National Youth Service Corps, NYSC certificate in protest against bad governance and economic hardship in the country.
The man, participating in the 30-Day Rant Challenge, took to social media to voice his frustration.
He lamented that despite years of education and earning a degree, securing employment in Nigeria remains a struggle.
In a viral video, he ripped his NYSC certificate apart, criticizing the worsening economic situation and calling on the government to take action.
“During our parents’ time, they could go to school and afford a basic life. Now, that’s impossible,” he said. “Are we even talking about the price of gas and electricity? Everything is skyrocketing!”
The video has drawn strong reactions, with some sympathizing with him and others questioning his actions.
