The main office of Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum has been engulfed by fire on Tuesday.
The governor was in his second office at the Musa Usman Secretariat when the fire incident occurred, according to a report by counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama.
At 12:29 pm, fire service vehicles were said to be seen going out of the Government House to put out the fire.
Following the fire outbreak, it was reported that vehicles, workers and other people going into the Government House were barred from going in by the police at the main entrance.
However, the extent of damage caused by the fire, which was said to have affected the governor’s main office, could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.
Efforts to confirm the incident and ascertain the extent of damage caused by the fire outbreak failed.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Strategy, Isa Gusau was yet to react to the incident as of the time of publishing this report.
