BREAKING: DSS Operatives Arrested In Osun

The Osun state police command have reportedly arrest some operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) over thier alleged involvement in the abduction of a Bureau de Change (BDC) operator at Sabo area in Osogbo, Osun state.

It was gathered that the suspected Kidnapper, Akeem ajibola Ogunibi connive with the DSS operatives to abduct a Bureau de Change (BDC) operator.

The Commissioner of Police (CP) in osun, Mr Wale Olokode confirmed the development to Journalists.

He said they received information that gunmen stormed Sabo and whisked the businessman away from his office to the bush along Ilesa Road and demanded ransom.

CP Olokode said the Police Tactical Team was deployed immediately to rescue the businessman, but that the suspects dumped the businessman in the bush after collecting a ransom of N204,000.

He noted that one of the abductors was apprehended which led to the arrest of other suspects.

Speaking with DAILY TRUST, The 42-year-old main suspect, Ajibola said he sold the idea to the DSS operatives, saying he did not know how they negotiated the ransom.

According to him, he got only N15,000 from the proceeds and that the DSS operatives took the rest of the money away.

The spokesperson for DSS could not be reached for comments on the incident.
