Two suspected ritualists have been set ablaze after being caught with a human head at Oja-Odan, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
It was gathered that the suspects, identified as Idowu Afolabi and Johnson Adebiyi, had earlier been arrested and detained at Oja Odan police station on Saturday.
Anger by the incident, irate youths reportedly broke into the police cell to drag out the two suspected ritualists.
According to reports, the youths who were mobilized themselves in thier hundred dragged the suspects to an open space in front of the police station and set them ablaze.
Eyewitness said the youths forced themselves into the police cell, dragged the suspects to an open space in front of the police station and set them on fire.
Recall that a 43-year-old Kehinde Oladimeji and his 35-year-old wife, Adejumoke Raji were arrested earlier by operatives of the Ogun State Police Command.
They were arrested for being in possession of fresh human parts.
The suspects, who are residents of 72, MKO Abiola way, Leme, Abeokuta were reportedly arrested after different fresh human parts such as hands, breasts and other parts were found in their house.
It would be recalled that four teenagers was recently arrested for killing and beheading Sofiat Kehinde, alleged one of the killer’s girlfriend for money rituals, DAILY GIST reports.
According to the teenagers, they were inspired by the guidelines they read on Facebook.
They are Wariz Oladeinde, Abdulgafar Lukman, Mustekeem Balogun and Soliu Majekodunmi, who was said to be the boyfriend of the girl
Parading the suspects on Monday at the State Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, Sofiat’s boyfriend, Soliu, confessed that when the victim visited him on Friday, he strangled her and cut off her head immediately with the aid of his accomplices.
Soliu explained how they had contributed money and purchased other ingredients needed for the ritual, while awaiting the day they would kill the lady, who he said was introduced to him in December 2021.
