The Deputy Governor of Zamfara state, Mahdi Aliyu Gusau has been impeached, DAILY GIST has learnt.
Gusau, who refused to defect with the State governor, Bello Matawalle from the Peoples Democratic party, PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC was impeached by the state house of assembly on Wednesday.
He was impeached during plenary on Wednesday shortly after the House received the report of the committee set up by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Kulu Aliyu, to investigate the allegations against him.
