A yet-to-be ascertained number of soldiers from the Myoung Barracks, Yaba in Lagos State have been killed in an auto-crash on Friday
The ugly incident happened when some drunken suspected yahoo boys rammed vehicle into their midst during the physical training exercise on Friday morning.
According to TheNiche, the development has thrown the military community into panic.
It was gathered that a lot of the soldiers sustained serious injuries with blood splashed all over the place.
Speaking to one of the soldiers, he said, “There’s blood everywhere. I was spared because I was at the back.”
The soldier (Name withheld) explained that the vehicle had three young men suspected to be internet fraudsters, notoriously called ‘Yahoo Boys’.
All the three occupants were suspected to be intoxicated.
He narrated that the vehicle rammed into the soldiers around the Myoung Barracks Army Sports Camp resulting in one of the occupants of the car running away immediately while the remaining two were apprehended and mercilessly beaten to stupor with their vehicle vandalised.
The Spokesman for the Nigerian Army in Lagos, Lt.-Col. Olabisi Ayeni confirmed the incident on Friday.
“It is true there was an accident this morning but I will provide details later,” he said.
