The West Africa Examination Council has announced the release of private candidates results who sat for 2021 WASSCE.
This was revealed by WAEC Nigeria in a statement released on Monday evening and obtained by DAILY GIST.
According to WAEC, Candidates can start checking for their result as from Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
Part of the statement reads; ‘Results of candidates that sat for the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2021-First Series will be released tomorrow, Tuesday April 6th”
WAEC also noted that some results that were withheld can either be released or cancelled wrote, “Please, note that withheld results can either be released or cancelled based on the decision of the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC). NEC will meet very soon to decide on the malpractice cases arising from the conduct of the examination. Thank you.”

Below are steps to check your WAEC results;
1. Go to https://www.waecdirect.org which is the WAEC result checking portal.
2. Enter your WAEC Examination Number in the required column.
3. Select your Examination Year
4. Select your Examination Type which is “school candidate result”.
5. Then enter the Card Serial Number.
6. Enter the Card PIN afterward.
7. Finally, click the “Submit” button to get your 2020 WAEC Result.
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) reportedly started conducting two series of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for Private Candidates in 2018. The first series of 2021 was conducted in February 2021
