UNILAG Student, Chidinma Ojukwu, the prime suspect in the murder of Super TV Chief Executive Officer, Usifo Ataga has been arraigned in court on Monday.
The 21-year old lady who is a 300-level Mass Communication student at the University of Lagos, is currently in court and would be arraigned with two other suspects in the case over murder allegation
DAILY GIST reports that The Lagos State Police Command arrested Chidinma for allegedly killing the Chief Executive Officer, Super TV, Usifo Ataga, in the Lekki area of the state.
While being paraded by the police, Chidinma had said she killed while he was trying to force himself on her.
Chidinma a 300-level student of Mass Communication, said she had been in a romantic relationship with Ataga for about four months before the ugly incident.
Chidinma while addressing Journalists said she and Ataga were “having fun” when an argument broke out and she stabbed him twice.
She had sought forgiveness, saying she did not want to die.
“I regret killing Mr Ataga. I don’t know what my future holds but I don’t want to die. Please, I don’t want to die because of this case. I have not killed before.”
“I totally regret everything I did and I am sorry. Mr Ataga’s family, I am deeply sorry for what I did. If I had my life back, I wouldn’t do anything like that. I am deeply sorry and I hope you forgive me,” Chidinma had said at the time.
Usifo, aged 50, was buried on July 30 in a low-key ceremony attended by his family members, including his wife, and friends
