The United Arab Emirates, UAE on Monday has lifted the visa ban for Nigerians.
The Nigerian government had said the United Arab Emirates (UAE) visa ban on Nigerians has been resolved.
Minister Of Aviation, Festus Keyamo said resolving the diplomatic rift between the two countries is important because several Nigerians visit the UAE and invest there.
On March 5, the presidency shared a document announcing the restriction has been lifted.
But Bayo Onanuga, special adviser on information and strategy to President Bola Tinubu, clarified the document was not authorised by the Nigerian and UAE governments.
However, Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates have come to an agreement regarding visas.
Holders of Nigerian passport are now eligible to receive visas to the UAE, starting from July 15, 2024
