First Lady Aisha Buhari is currently hosting presidential aspirants across political parties to an Iftar dinner at the Presidential Villa on Saturday.
Dignitaries, including some presidential aspirants, were sighted entering the State House Conference Center (Old Banquet Hall) for Iftar dinner.
It could be recalled that the first lady had invited all presidential aspirants, across all political parties, to the Ramadan Iftar at the State House Conference Centre, DAILY GIST reports
Among the presidential aspirants currently in attendance as of the time of filing this report are national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi (APC), and Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Minister of Labour and Employment Chris Ngige; Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Godswill Akpabio; one-time National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Barnabas Gemade; former Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara; and oil and gas mogul Tein Jack-Rich were also in attendance.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife in an invitation letter had instructed the invitees not to come along with their mobile devices, except for their invitation cards which would serve as their entry pass.
The directive, however, does not apply to the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo and governors and ministers who will be at the meeting.
