The Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, owned by late Prophet T.B. Joshua has been gutted by fire in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The church is located in the Ikotun area of Lagos State.
Recall that the church had began a week-long burial ceremony for its founder, Joshua on Monday evening with a candle light procession.
Members of the church, who had attended the the burial ceremony and candlelight procession in his honour, were seen scampering for safety during the fire incident.
The fire engulfing the building is reportedly disrupt the ceremony to herald Joshua back home.
A video made available to DAILY GIST on the incident showed that the church is burning with members trying to put it out.
Director General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu confirmed the incident.
He said firefighters have already stormed the scene.
The church also confirmed the fire incident in a statement made available to Newsmen, stating there was no casualty.
The statement read, “In the late evening of Monday 5th July 2021, there was a minor electrical fire incident at a storehouse within The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations complex.
“The incident was quickly brought under control without any injuries.
“As part of the preparedness for the weeklong services celebrating the life and legacy of Prophet TB Joshua, The SCOAN has worked closely with relevant government agencies including the Lagos State Fire Services, whose members were on the ground at the time of the incident.
“We thank God for His continued protection. We assure the general public that there is no cause for alarm and the services celebrating the life and legacy of Prophet TB Joshua will continue as scheduled.”
