The Supreme Court in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has been gutted by fire on Monday morning.
According to report, the fire incident affected a section of the apex court.
The cause of the inferno was yet to ascertained as of the time of filing this report, but eyewitnesses said firefighters are currently at the scene.
DAILY GIST gathered that offices of three Justices were completely burnt down in the inferno.
The court’s spokesman, Dr. Festus Akande confirmed the development in a terse statement made available to Reporters on Monday.
He described the fire outbreak at the apex court as a minor incident.
Akande said the fire incident has since been taken care of by staff.
“It was a minor incident which some of our staff promptly took care of with the aid of fire extinguisher,” he said.
