A three-storey building under construction on Akanbi has reportedly collapsed in Yaba area of Lagos State.
It wasn’t clear yet, the actual number of casualties.
According to information reaching DAILY GIST, unspecified number of people were said to have been trapped in the rubble.
The building is located on Akanbi Crescent, Onike, near the main gate of University of Lagos (UNILAG).
Several construction workers were said to be trapped in the rubbles of the collapsed building.
Eyewitness said the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency Response Unit have been called to the scene.
It was gathered that a boy and another adult male have come out of the rubble as at the time of filling this report.
The Director General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu confirmed the incident.
