As insecurity worsens in the country, Gunmen identified to be bandits have killed two soldiers and one civilian in the wee hours of Tuesday in Ebonyi
It was gathered that the attack occured at a checkpoint in Timber Junction area, Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi state.
While some people who got injured during the attack were taking to the hospitals, Other soldiers at the Checkpoint flee inside the bush for safety.
DAILY GIST reliablly gathered that the gunmen arrived the checkpoint in a white bus and in military uniform and started open fire on them.
The situation consequently threw the two busy towns of Amasiri and Afikpo into serious panic, as traders pack their goods and scampered for safety.
The DPO of Afikpo North LGA is reported to be awared of the attack but however has not yet briefed the Public Relations Department of the Ebonyi State Police Command.
