The Senate said it has received the list of ministerial nominees from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday.
According to reports, the list which was received on Tuesday will be announced at the plenary tomorrow, Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
The list of the appointments was due to be announced today but was stepped down on the order paper.
The ministerial list is expected to include at least one nominee across the 36 States.
Citing the Nigerian Constitution, Tinubu still has up till 28 July to forward his ministerial nominees to the Senate for screening and confirmation.
The constitution, following amendments by the last parliament, stipulates that the president and governors have, from the date they are sworn in, a 60-day window within which to appoint ministers and commissioners.
