Amisdst the ongoing hardship rocking the country, some residents in FCT, Abuja have invaded a warehouse belonging to the government.
The warehouse which is located in Karimo, Phase 3 Region of the FCT, Abuja was raided on Sunday.
It was gathered that the residents carted away foodstuffs and other items in the warehouse
However, operatives of the N.igeria Police Force in Abuja were said to have been deployed to the area to disperse the looters.
The spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident to Reporters.
According to her, the situation had been brought under control.
“The situation is now under control,” she said.

Many Nigerians have been lamenting hardship following the removal of fuel subsidy and the devaluation of the naira after it was floated by Bola Tinubu-led administration.
The economic policies of the president have pushed up the prices of goods drastically and rate of inflation.
Following the development, residents in some states have resorted to looting as hunger bites harder in the country.
In a video obtained by DAILY GIST, the residents were seen looting the food items inside Dangote truck amidst gunshots from the Nigerian soldiers.
The incident, it was gathered happened on Thursday in Niger State while many trailers coming from Abuja and heading for Kaduna.

However, the residents failed to leave the scene even when soldiers were firing the gunshots
