The Police Service Commission on Friday has deferred its decision on the case involving the embattled Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari.
The commission through its Chairman Musiliu Smith made this known at its 14th Plenary Meeting in Abuja
He explained that it would not take any decision on the suspended cop until a report on further investigation is received.
He said the commission has directed the police that it must conclude its investigation in two weeks, and such an investigation should be carried out by a different panel.
Kyari, until his suspension by the Commission over an alleged link with the billionaire fraudster, Abbas Ramon popularly known as Hushpuppi, was the head of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT).
DAILY GIST reports that Kyari was indicted by Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States over his alleged tie with the notorious fraudster, Hushpuppi
He had since be investigated by a special panel set up by the inspector general of police, Alkali Usman Baba
