The Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State Police Command, on Thursday, said singer, Owodunni Ibrahim, aka Primeboy has surrendered himself after he was declared wanted on Wednesday.
DAILY GIST reported that Primeboy was declared wanted and N1 million bounty was out on his head over his refusal to honour police invitation in connection with the death of singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
However, Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command in a post on Thursday said Primeboy has turned himself in.
A video obtained by DAILY GIST also showed the moment Primeboy was being taken to police custody for interrogation
He said, “Following his being declared wanted, Owodunni Ibrahim Oluwatosin aka Primeboy has turned himself in. He has, immediately, been taken into custody for interrogation and other necessary actions.
“The Lagos State Police Command once again assures family, friends, fans of Mohbad and the general public that no stone will be left unturned in ensuring a most diligent investigation. The Command equally assures that all persons found culpable in the death of Mr Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad will definitely be brought to justice.”
Mohbad, a former signee of Naira Marley’s record label, died at the age of 27 in Lagos, the cause of is death remains controversial leading to call for justice from concerned Nigerians.
Prime Boy, said to be Mohbad’s best friend has been accused by Mohbad’s wife and other fans that his friend allegedly hit him with “Juju” at a show in Ikorodu.
However, the friend, Primeboy has come out to debunk the allegation saying Mohbad was his best friend, and he wouldn’t have wished him dead talkless of hitting him with Juju for him to die.
He mentioned that Mohbad was high and he was trying to calm him down, and the wife was there during the whole process.
It was alleged that Naira Marley and Sam Larry subjected Mohbad to rentless bullying and harrasment. The duo have since denied the allegations.
