President Muhammadu Buhari has on Thursday appointed new director general for the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).
Buhari appoints Senator Basheer Mohammed as the new director general of agency.
The announcement was contained in a statement released by President buhari spokesman, Garba Shehu on Thursday.
Shehu said the president also approved some key changes under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.
Shehu added that the action was taken in order to realise and sustain government’s abiding desire for effective and efficient service delivery in the two organisations.
The statement said Mrs Imaan Suleiman Ibrahim who was until now the Director General of NAPTIP will now take over Mohammed as the Honourable Federal Commissioner for the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI).
According to the statement, the President has directed that the changes should be effected after comprehensive handover notes to successors.
