Pandemonium has erupted in ijesha area of Lagos State following the firing of gunshots from the operatives of anti-riot policemen.
The police officers were said to have fired gunshots and tear gas to disperse a crowd of alleged hoodlums in an attempt to make some arrests.
Eyewitnesses who spoke to DAILY INDEPENDENT said vehicle owners abandoned their cars and scampered for safety to avoid being hit by stray bullets
Socio-economic activities have since been put on hold as traders, residents, and passers flee for their lives.
Recurring civil disturbances and violent clashes between security operatives and hoodlums in Ijesha have become regular happenings in the area
