A video has surfaced showing a protester claiming that police fired shots at protesters in Abuja today, 20th October as they marked #EndSarsMemorial.
Videos from proceedings in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja have surfaced on various social media platforms.
As expected, a massive crowd stormed the streets of Abuja, but their activities were being hindered by the matching presence of the Nigeria police force.
The eyewitness in a video that has now circulated online said the police shot at them again leaving many people totally shocked.
The EndSARS protests held in October 2020 were against the activities of the now-disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a unit of the Nigeria Police Force accused of police brutality.
Nigerians set today, Wednesday, aside to remember the Lekki tollgate shooting in the State last year.
