A plane conveying 62 passengers has crashed in Brazil’s Sao Paulo state on Friday.
The mayor’s office in Valinhos, a city near the scene of the accident confirmed saying; “There were no survivors.”
A video obtained shows the aircraft falling at speed towards the ground.
According to Sky News, the local firefighters corps confirmed that the plane fell in the city of Vinhedo.
Brazil’s civil defense said the aircraft crashed into multiple houses.
Authorities revealed that only one home was damaged when the plane crashed, noting that no resident was injured
The 62 people on board the Voepass flight included crew members.
The ATR-72 plane was reportedly en route from Cascavel in the state of Parana to Guarulhos in Sao Paolo state.
The airline has yet to confirm the cause of the crash
President Luiz Lula da Silva described the news as “very sad” and extended his solidarity to the families and friends of the victims.
