The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in 2023 election, Peter Obi has addressed a World Press Conference regarding the controversy surrounding the certificate of President Bola Tinubu.
The press conference was held at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Auditorium Wuse 2, Abuja on Wednesday.
During the press conference, Obi spoke on the alleged forged Diploma Certificate of the Chicago State University (CSU) submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by President Tinubu.
The former Anambra governor said the country’s reputation is at stake as a result of the controversy surrounding the Diploma Certificate of President Bola Tinubu
According to him, Nigerians are now seen all over the world as fraudsters, certificate forgers and identity thieves because of what Tinubu has allegedly done.
Obi then asked Tinubu to again, tell Nigerians the schools he attended, if he participated in the one-year National Youth Service Corps scheme.
He also urged him to clarify if he indeed changed his name at any time and save the country from what he called an international embarrassment of identity crisis.
Obi maintained that having occupied the highest political office in the country, President Tinubu no longer has a right to any privacy regarding his identity.
Obi and Atiku are both challenging the declaration of Tinubu as the winner of the February 25 election and the affirmation of Tinubu’s victory by the election petition tribunal on September 6.
