A filling station belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in Iseyin, Oyo state has been engulfed by fire.
Residents of the town are currently gripped by palpable fear following the inferno incident.
DAILY GIST gathered that the petroleum station, located at Agip area of Iseyin caught fire on Sunday afternoon, causing panic among the residents.
Efforts to quench the fire by firefighters are currently ongoing.
The youths in the town are also assisting firefighters to extinguish the raging inferno.
It was gathered that some houses close to the station have already been affected, intensifying the anxiety among the residents.
The cause of the fire outbreak was yet to be ascertained as of press time.
