DAILY GIST gathered that the victims were released in the wee hours of Sunday after seven days with thier abductors
However, it is not immediately clear if a ransom was paid or not.
The Chairman of Emure Local Government, Mr Adebayo Oluwatosin who confirmed thier release to radio Nigeria
He said the victims were now in the palace of Elemure of Emure Ekiti.
According to him, the driver was killed while other eight regained their freedom
It could be recalled that the pupils were kidnapped on Monday evening along Emure – Eporo Road while returning to Eporo after closing school.
A government official at Emure Ekiti, who confirmed the release of the abductees to Reporters on Sunday, said, “The abductees are here, the parents and family members are here. I will give you details shortly.”
