The acting governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has been sworn in as the substantive governor of the state.
Aiyedatiwa’s swearing in was conducted by the Chief Judge of Ondo state following the demise of late governor Rotimi Akeredolu in the early hours of Wednesday, December 27, in Germany.
The new governor of Ondo, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, is currently addressing the people of the state after he was sworn in as the substantive governor of the state.
In his speech, the new governor said it was with a heavy heart he took over the reins of the governance of the state after the death of Akeredolu.
He said: “It is a devastating thing for us to lose our dear governor.
This is a monumental loss. It is a great loss to me as an individual.”
