The vice Chancellor of obafemi awolowo university Ile-Ife has announced a date to end his administration as vice chancellor of the institution.
Ogunbodede disclosed this on Thursday in a statement issued by the university spokeperson, Abiodun Olarewaju, a copy of which was forwarded to DAILY GIST.
The vice chancellor at a press conference on Thursday noted that his tenure will come to an end by June, 2022.
He said; ‘This 45th convocation will be the last I would preside over as the sitting Vice-Chancellor because my tenure will successfully come to an end in June of 2022.
Eyitope Ogungbenro Ogunbodede (born 23 January 1957) is a professor of Dentistry and the current Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
Ogunbodede is also the founder of Dema Foundation Dental Museum, the first dental museum in Africa commissioned in 2015 which contains relics of modern Nigerian dental history.
He joined the services of Obafemi Awolowo University as a Medical Training Fellow in 1987 and rose through the ranks to become a professor in 2000.
As an academic, he has published about 100 peer-reviewed scientific journal articles. He has also authored over 40 conference abstracts and 2 books.[1] On 8 May 2017, he was appointed the 11th Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University
