The management of obafemi awolowo university ile-ife has announced a new date for the commencement of harmattan semester examination, DAILY GIST reports.
The management shifted the academic calendar by two weeks, meaning that the harmattan semester examination scheduled to start by April 26th has now been shifted by two weeks
The OAU Registrar, Mrs Omosule confirmed the development to DAILY GIST on Friday after a senate meeting attended by the Vice Chancellors, Prof Ogunbodede, The University PRO, Abiodun Olarenwaju(represented), some departmental HODs, among others.
According to Omosule, the harmattan semester exam will now commence by May 10th, 2021
She added that the extension of the calendar was necessary to allow students complete their lectures and practicals
DAILY GIST gathered that the two weeks extension of the academic calendar was following it’s approval by the university senate in just concluded meeting that lasted for up to 4hours on Friday.
The management is expected to release the new adjusted calendar any moment from now
