Nigerian rapper, Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips is still alive, his close associates have claimed.
Famous Nigerian singer, Qudus Fakoya Oluwadamilare, popularly known as Qdot stated that his ally, Oladips, who was recently pronounced dead by his management, is alive.
Sharing a picture of Oladips on his Instagram page, Qdot wrote, “@oladipsoflife, my gee is alive.
Another close associate of the singer known as Sircoolest took to his social media account to say: “Oladips is alive he just finished eating Rice And Turkey here, he will post his Apology video when his New Album finally enters number 1 in Nigeria”
Also a new post by Nollywood actress Bukunmi Oluwasina, the singer’s alleged bestie has got many wondering if the singer is actually alive or there is a motive behind his death.
Bukunmi Oluwasina took to her Instagram story to lament how Nigerian music artistes had to resort to death before they can be loved.
She chastised those asking if Oladips is actually dead urging them to stream his newly released album.
“Do we really have to make people start thinking they have to be dead to witness the love and support they need?”
Also in an Instagram post which many confused for a goodbye noted the actress hunted that her friend is still alive when she disclose how they were together last night and he wasn’t in a coffin.
“Hey soldier, Are you there?I saw you last night but it wasn’t in a box. So,why are people asking me “Are you dead?”“If I drop this album I have being struggling to make, people won’t listen.” Are you scared??.I have said this before, “You don’t put people in charge of your happiness, and expect not to be robbed.” Were you deaf?”
However, the actress noted that Oladips is still in a critical condition claiming he’s fighting for his life.
“I know you are fighting for your life where you are.I just want to remind you that you are a soldier.Forget about bosses and friends that left,In 40yrs time, we will all be dead or old.Even the new friends you call home,I’m 20 years time, they could turn foes.The battles is yours alone to fight and come home.”
The claims, however elicited mixed reactions, with many questioning the authenticity of the information while others said it is possible Oladips “faked” his death to promote his album, ‘Superhero Adugbo,’ which was earlier released after his death
DAILY GIST reports that the management of the late rapper released an album he was working on before he died.
The album titled Superhero Adugbo’s release was announced in an Instagram post on Thursday with photos of the deceased as the album cover. The post read:
“#SuperheroAdugbo Album out now.”
The album contains 17 tracks including a collaboration with music artiste, Trod.
DAILY GIST recalls that Oladips was reported to have died on Tuesday night, November 14, 2023.
His management announced his shocking demise in a brief statement shared on the rapper’s Instagram post on Wednesday.
Many have however refused to believe the sad news, hoping the rapper is only trying to prank his fans in order to make sure his album goes viral.
Some others have wished it is truly a prank like that of his colleague, Skiibii who was rumoured to be dead in other to gain fame.
