Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde has ordered the evacuation of Oyo students from the University of Jos, DAILY GIST has learnt.

It was gathered that the evacuation order was following the Insecurity crisis that rocked some parts of Jos, in Plateau State.

It would be recalled that about 20 muslims who were coming from an Islamic programme at Bauchi, were recently killed by some youths around Rukuba area of Jos.

Following the development, the management of UNIJOS suspended the ongoing examinations.

The Deputy Registrar, Information and Publications of the institution, Mr. Abdullahi Abdullahi in a statement made available to Journalists equally advised students and staff to remain calm and be mindful of their safety.

DAILY GIST gathered that the killing of the students made some state governors in the country to order for the evacuation of their students in the institution.
