The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt (Hon) Mudashiru Obasa, has been impeached by the members of the House.
Obasa was accused of corruption and financial infractions by the lawmakers.
He was consequently replaced with the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Mojisola Miranda, DAILY GIST reports.
Miranda, a former Chief Whip of the House, was sworn in immediately to lead the 40-member House.
She is representing Apapa I in the Lagos Assembly.
Mr Obasa, 52, was first elected Speaker on June 8, 2015, resuming office alongside former one-term governor Akinwunmi Ambode
