Security operatives have rescued the abducted lecturers of university of Abuja, UNIABUJA alongside thier family members.
The Spokeperson for police command in Anuja, DSP Josephine Adeh confirmed the development to Journalists in a statement on Friday morning.
It would be recalled that the abductors had contacted their family members demanding N300 million as ransom.
It wasn’t clear if ransom was paid before the victims were rescued by the police
But speaking on Friday, DSP Josephine noted that police operatives have also arrested thier suspected abductors.
She said: “The Fct Police Command wishes to inform members of the public that all abducted victims of the university of Abuja were rescued and reunited with their families through a joint operation with other security agencies”.
DAILY GIST had reported how two professors, a non-academic staff, and three others were abducted from the University staff quarters in the early hours of Tuesday.
