The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB on Monday has announced the release of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.
The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede made the announcement at a press conference held at the board’s headquarters, Bwari, in Abuja on Monday.
Over 1.94 million candidates registered and sat the examination in 118 towns and over 700 centres across the country.
DAILY GIST reports that the examination which began on Friday, 19th April ended on Monday, 29th April 2024.
The board earlier clarified that the decision to delay the release of the results for a few days was made to allow ample time for thorough scrutiny.
This measure, according to JAMB, was taken to guarantee the credibility and integrity of the results, ensuring there are no doubts or uncertainties, especially concerning issues such as impersonation, mixed biometrics, and other forms of malpractices.
