Gunmen suspected to be thugs and hoodlums have unleashed terror attack on residents in Ede, Osun State.
DAILY GIST gathered that a graduate of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State, identified as Oloore, and four others have been killed during the violent clash.
Oloore it was gathered visited the polytechnic a few days ago to do his clearance from the institution
He was however hit by a stray bullet from the clashing hoodlums as he stepped out of his apartment to purchase an item.
The four other victims were killed around the Bode, Sagba and Asunmo areas of Ede as the violence went on.
The clash between a gang-controlled by Rasheed Oko-Ilu, a known hoodlum, and a team of Oodua Peoples Congress in Ede, which began last week, has led to the destruction of houses, shops and vehicles in the community.
The violence resumed on Thursday night as the two gangs attacked each other with guns and machetes, moving from one part of the town to the other to instill fear in people.
According to reports, residents were forced to retire to their houses early while some others ran to other parts of the state for safety.
DAILY GIST could not immediately reached the Spokeperson for police command in Osun State for comments on the incident.
