Gunmen suspected to be Kidnappers have abducted a yet-to-be-ascertained number of residents in the wee hours of Monday.
The estate attacked is located in the Gwarinpa area of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, it was gathered.
The gunmen who were said to have come with other weapons including bows, arrows, and machetes operated in the estate between 1am and 4 am.
The incident which occurred early Monday morning has left the whole area in confusion.
However reacting, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, DSP Josephine Adeh, described the incidence as a robbery case and not a kidnapping case.
She added that police operatives have been mobilized to the scene and promised to make their findings public once the details have more clarity.
This is happening less than 24 hours after terrorists attacked a catholic church in Owo, Ondo state, killing a worshippers.
