Three police officers attached in Ishielu local government area of Ebonyi state have been reportedly killed by unknown gunmen
It was gathered that the officers were gunned down in the wee hours of Tuesday at a check point in front of the Ezillo Police station in the state
The officers were said to have mounted a roadblock in front of the station when the gunmen stormed the area and opened fire on them.
According to reports, the remains of the three police victims have been deposited at a mortuary in Abakaliki.
Efforts by DAILY GIST to speak with the Spokeperson of police command in the state on the incident proved abortive.
