Kano state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Monday has reportedly handed over power to a 14-year-old girl, Atika Abubakar Yankaba as part of activities marking 2021 International Day of the Girl Child (IDGC).
The 14 year old girl was mandated to served as acting Governor for Kano state temporarily and she anticipated to make policy pronouncements.
The epoc ceremony tagged “Girls Take over Governance” was facilitated by UNICEF in concert with Donor partners, Civil Society Group in the state.
