Some unknown gunmen have again unleashed terror attack on residents in Jos axis of plateau state, shooting anyone on sight, DAILY GIST reliably gathered
At least 35 people have been killed in the fresh attack two weeks after muslim travellers were massacred on Rukuba road.
The incident was confirmed on Wednesday morning.
The incident took place at Yelwan Zangam community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
According to reports, houses were also burnt down in the attack
It would be recalled that about 20 muslims who were coming from an Islamic programme at Bauchi, were recently killed by some youths around Rukuba area of Jos.
While DAILY GIST could not independently verify the casualty figure, it was however gathered that more than 35 people were killed according to an eyewitness
It added that security operatives had been deployed in the area to restore nolmacy
The Plateau State Police Command is yet to give details of the incident as at the time of filing this report.
Since the Rukuba, Jos has been gripped by reports of deadly violence, The University of Jos has been shut.
Many states have sent in buses to evacuate their students in the university.
