Embattled Former governor of Kogi State Yahaya Bello has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).
Bello was arrested on Tuesday by the chief security officer of the commission when he visited the commission’s office in Abuja
He was in the company of 3 of his lawyers and is currently being questioned by EFCC investigators
Officials of the anti-graft agency are currently grilling the former governor.
DAILY GIST recalls that Bello was declared wanted by the EFCC over alleged misappropriation of funds to the tune of 110billion during his tenure as Kogi governor.
On November 14, the EFCC had during the hearing at Federal High Court Abuja, sought for adjournment till November 27 in the fresh case it instituted against Mr Bello.
It said the 30 days window was still running for the summons earlier issued.
