The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has arraigned former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika under the administration of Ex-president, Muhammadu Buhari.
DAILY GIST reports that Sirika was arraigned on Thursday alongside his daughter, Fatimah, and two other suspects in court.
The suspects are facing charges over alleged N2.7 billion contract fraud uncovered in the Aviation Ministry under Sirika.
He is being arraigned for the first time, before Justice Sylvanus Oriji of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The embattled former minister appears in court with his three co-defendants, his daughter, Fatima; one Jalal Hamma, and Al-Duraq Investment Ltd, on charges of abusing their positions to launder over N2.7 billion.
The third defendant arraigned alongside Sirika and his daughter is his son-in-law Jalal Sule Hamma.
Al-Duraq Investment Limited is also a defendant in the case. They all pleaded not guilty to all the count charges.
The counsel to the EFCC Rotimi Jacobs is, however, asking that the case be given an expeditious hearing.
