The Department of Security Service(DSS) has reportedly arrested some students of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in Kaduna state over summit in Insecurity rocking the state.
Some students under the aiges of National Association of Social Sciences in the university, it was gathered had called a meeting to discuss insecurity ravaging all parts of the country.
According to reports, Islamic preacher, Sheikh Gumi was amongst those who attended the meeting, but he was said not to have been arrested.
The secret police reportedly disrupted the meeting and arrested students who organized it.
DAILY GIST could not immediately ascertain the actual number of students arrested, but it was gathered that at least more than 10 students were arrested by the DSS agents.
The summit, themed: Insecurities in Nigeria, the Causes and Youths Panacea, was signed by the president of the association, Abubakar Umar Ahmad
Mr Ahmad and DSS Spokeperson, Peter Afunanya however could not be reached for comments on the matter as the time of filling this report.
