The Department of State Security, DSS has arrested Mukaila Lamidi popularly called Auxiliary in Ibadan, Oyo state capital
DAILY GIST reports that Auxiliary was a Disciplinary Committee Chairman of the Park Manager System (PMS) in Oyo State.
However, he was sacked by Governor Seyi Makinde in 2023.
His arrest comes after Auxiliary had been declared wanted for months by the Nigeria Police Force, Oyo State Command for various crimes.
The police had also raided his home, recovering several arms and ammunition.
Auxiliary was whisked away at his residence on Tuesday by masked security operatives suspected to be DSS operatives.
His family members confirmed the arrest in a statement to a radio station, Crest FM.
Auxiliary, who previously held the position of PMS Chairman, has been a subject of intense scrutiny and investigations by the authorities.
The details of the arrest and the charges against Auxiliary are still sketchy.
