Nigerian chef, Damilola Adeparusi, popularly known as Chef Dammy, has been reportedly arrested.
Chef Dammy was said to have been arrested by Operatives of the Nigerian police in Akure, following a petition written by her former pastor, Adegoke Jeremiah, better known as Billion Dollars Prophet.
A human rights advocate, Oluyemi Fasipe, announced the chef’s arrest in an X post on Thursday evening.
Fasipe wrote, “I have information that Chef Dammy has been arrested by men of the @PoliceNG AIG zone 17 in Akure for a petition against her by her pastor.
“That police station has a history of extremely corrupt practices and I am speaking from personal experience.
“I urge the families of Chef Dammy to speak out in case the right of Dammy is abused at any point.”
Fasipe tagged Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi to the post.
DAILY GIST reports that Chef Daddy and Billion Dollars Prophet have been at loggerheads since she undertook a 120-hour cooking marathon in June.
In October, Chef Dammy set tongues wagging when, in an Instagram post, she said the cleric should be held responsible if anything happened to her.
A week later, Billion Dollars Prophet threatened to drag her to court if she did not retract her ‘libelous statement’ against him and pay N22 million in damages.
Hours after the threat, Chef Dammy also published a pre-litigation letter threatening to counter-sue the pastor.
