The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), located in Makurdi in Benue state, has been gutted by fire.
The fire started on Thursday as several staff members were about to resume duties.
It was gathered that the intervention of men of the Fire Service saved further spread to the entire building.
According to reports, no one was allowed into the building as it was surrounded by policemen who were there to maintain law and order.
The cause of the incident could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
