Gunmen suspected to be bandits have reportedly attacked a school in ondo state, whisking away at least five staffs at the late hours of Thursday.
The school is identified to be August Community Grammar school in Ondo State.
According to reports, three N-Power teachers were among the five people involved in the ambush by the assailants.
The three abducted Federal Government N-Power employees were identified as Oloyede Bukola, Adagunodo Funmilayo and Blessing Okeke.
It was learnt that they were abducted while travelling in a Toyota car along Auga-Ise Road in Akoko East local government area.
The school Principal, Joshua Adeyemi and his vice, Ifedayo Yesufu were also kidnapped during the operation.
An eyewitness had revealed that the incident occurred while the school staff were travelling in a blue Toyota Corolla car belonging to the school Principal.
It was gathered that one of the victims, Okeke who was released after the kidnappers discovered she was pregnant, said they were ambushed and whisked away into the thick forest.
Responding to the disturbing occurrence, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ikare division, Oladutoye Akinwan, said detectives have been deployed to comb the forest in a bid to secure the release of the victims.
Akinwa added that the vehicle in which the victims were travelling before their abduction had been recovered from the spot which it was abandoned by the kidnappers.
